Working with Online on a daily basis

Whether you are an Online only business or you are using Online to promote your physical store, Video Vision Online has an array of tools to make your life easier and enhance your customer's experience.

Maintaining your rental inventory:
All rental, return, reservation, customer update and item update operations conducted in Video Vision Plus are within moments of being conducted updated to your online database meaning that customers browsing your site see real time availabilities of your store's items. This is done by a special program which runs silently in the background on your main store computer processing all the relevent changes made in Video Vision Plus.

Processing requests:

The following process is used when customers make requests for items using Online - if the model being used is the traditional "Netflix" wishlist driven online rental model, see the "Processing Wishlists" section below for an explanation of the process used in this situation.

Online orders can be processed with the absolute minimum of effort. Requests are viewed through a special screen in Video Vision Plus from which they can be printed (allowing the actual items to be collected from their physical location) and with a simple double click a new transaction can be initiated with all the items in the customer's request pre-added to the transaction.

Step 1: Load the Online requests screen - all requests awaiting processing are displayed:



Step 2: Simply double click the request you wish to process and ALL the requests pending for that customer will automatically be added to a new transaction for the customer:



Step 3: Complete the transaction - an email will be sent to the customer notifying them that their order status has been updated (optional) and you are returned to the Online requests screen to continue processing the next request.



Processing wishlists:
If your store is using a traditional Online unlimited rental model then Video Vision Plus then the whole return and rental process can be managed with the minimum of effort. The wishlist screen can be viewed from the transaction screen and items appearing in the customer's wishlist screen can be added directly to the transaction with just a double click of the mouse!

Step 1: Begin a new transaction for the customer.

Step 2: Scan in the items being returned:



Step 3: Press CTRL+W to bring up the customer's wishlist:



Step 4: Double click the item to be rented to add it to the transaction:



Step 5: Complete the transaction - an email will be sent to the customer notifying them that their order status has been updated (optional).
